Tone Chimes

Tone chimes are tubular bells with rounded tone chambers and when struck, they give a soft, mellow tone.

Here at St. John's, we have a 10 member tone chime group that consists of various ages, from pre-confirmation to adult: Carol Dammann, Althea Mathwig, Lonnie Rabe, Jacob Reichow, Zachary Reichow, Tanya Reichow, Amber Schmidt, Derrek Schmidt, Pauline Schmidt, and Brooke Willmsen. Kathleen Stuedemann is our director and has us meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings to learn the music. If you would like to try or join in, you are more than welcome. You may even find us visiting with one another in-between playing. We may play correctly or may even strike a wrong note but that does not stop us from enjoying the music we have learned.  Tone chimes play the third Sunday of each month.  We also play at our special holiday services, along with a few Lenten services. If you would like to listen to our Chime Choir, just click the monthly calendar for when we play, then join us for a Sunday church service and listen to our mellow tone music.

There are no events to display for this time period.
